How often do you thank your spouse for what he or she does for you everyday?
Do you sometimes withhold words of thanks because you feel your spouse does not deserve them or will not receive them?
Jesus put a high priority on thankfulness, and He gave thanks whenever the occasion warranted it. The way of Jesus is to give thanks, and He expects His followers to give thanks to God and to others.
Using thankful words toward your spouse will bring healing and improve your relationship with your spouse.
If a husband is expressing appreciation and love toward his wife then he cannot be ungrateful for her.
If a wife speaks respectfully and loving toward her husband then she cannot be complaining about him.
Take time today to express your "thanks" to your spouse---it could be as simple as saying thank you for cooking dinner to your wife or thank you for taking the trash out to your husband.
Look for opportunities to express your thanks and appreciation to your spouse. We say thank you to people we do not know everyday, yet we go many days without saying the same thing to our spouse.
Since it is easy to be negative, focus on your mate's good qualities and express thanks with positive words of Love and Respect.
Blessings
Paul
