A Treasure Hunt

Greetings

It has been a while since my last effort to blog, mainly because we have been in the process of moving to Virginia. I am glad to report that opportunity is well behind us now.

It occurs to me that the Lord is always on a treasure hunt, finding something precious in the unlikeliest places. We tend to look at the earthen vessel and often we miss the diamond in the rough, however God sees the treasure. If the truth be known more often than not we enjoy finding the rubbish in someone rather than finding the buried jewel.

God always speaks to our potential...a good lesson for us to learn...because whatever we speak to in people will rise up, for good or bad. Speak to the flesh and it will bite you...speak to the Christ-life and it will bless you.

The Holy Spirit is present in people, so if we speak to the fruit of His character and not to our misgivings or suspicion about them, we will save both ourselves and others from bitter confusion and possible rejection.

You know we (I) really should begin this at home; what better place to practice finding jewels and to obtain less bite marks. I am going to make this my goal...let me hear from you as you try it as well.

Blessings

Paul
